  • Position requires high school diploma. The incumbent will have either: - Successfully completed certification as an Ophthalmic Medical Technologist by the Joint commission of Allied Health Personnel of Ophthalmology (JCAHPO) after the required work hours and credits earned at the COT level.


  • Alternately, after completion of an accredited Technologist program, incumbent has 1 year from date of employment to successfully complete certification.

Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:

  1. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  2. Detail oriented individual with strong human relations and organizational skills.
  3. Ongoing certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist.
