Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware Valley nursing program was granted Magnet status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®, an award that is considered proof of a hard-earned commitment to excellence in health care.
The Lantern Award
Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware (2025-2028) and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida (2024-2027) earned The Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association for commitment to quality and innovation in emergency care.
Excellence in Children's Surgery
Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware was verified as a level 1 Children’s Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons Children’s Surgery Verification Quality Improvement Program. Nemours Children’s is the only pediatric hospital in the Delaware Valley to achieve this prestigious designation, which recognizes surgery centers whose quality improvement programs have measurably improved surgical quality and have prevented complications, reduced costs and saved lives. Our surgical centers in Deptford, N.J. and Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware are all recognized with this distinction.
NCI Award
The Nemours Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders is one of only three designated pediatric National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Programs (NCORP) in the country. It was recognized as a fully integrated pediatric cancer network with excellence in clinical research, clinical care and quality improvement.
Telly Awards
Nemours KidsHealth.org, the No. 1 most-visited website devoted to children's health in the world, has won six Telly Awards for excellence in video communication in the last two years alone.
Commission on Cancer
Nemours Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware has been re-accredited by the Commission on Cancer which is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons. This tremendous accreditation lists us next to some of the best cancer treatment and research centers in the United States, which has only 1% of hospitals listed as a pediatric institution for this accreditation.
